"Ang Panggagahasa Kay Fe" (The Rapture of Fe)
-full lenght

we were not able to start this film. It's a story of lady named Fe, who have a "kapre" suitor. She is already married but her husband has a mistress. Her childhood sweetheart, Art, reunited with her even though she's married (guy was played by TJ Trinidad). This kapre keeps on sending her black fruits in a basket as gifts. In the end, her husband learned about Fe and Art's relationship, then Fe was with the kapre, Art destroyed the tree where the kapre is residing, made the tree into a chair (it's their family business), kapre said few words to Art, kapre offers food to Fe.

It was an open ending for me. But when tita told us the ending, I started to appreciate it.

kapre: you cannot destroy me, if you kill me you will die (orig verse: ang pagkawala ko ay pagkawala mo rin) --- something like that
rationale: kapre is living in the tree, even though he keeps on cutting the tree where the kapre resides, the kapre will still live in other trees, if you totally erase him, it means you will erase all the trees too, therefore, they will not have their income, since they source of income comes from those trees (cause they're making chairs and furnitures)

Art: why now, where we already reunited
kapre: because before, you were just your father's son
rationale: before, his father used to cut trees, her mother died (i think), something like that because of the guerilla, which probably done by the kapre as revenge. Now, since he inherited the business because his stroke father is totally paralyzed, it's now his turn. As a result, the kapre took Fe.

so this movie was not really about the rapture of Fe but with regards to the nature

Musa
- short film

about a faith healer, then he died but before he died, a gay had this dreams tatang had, before he became a faith healer. the setting was at the squaters area at the rail road. i actually didn't get the theme of this story, hehehe


Behind Closed Doors
- short film

about a couple. the guy is having an affair with his secretary, while the girl is having an affair with her tomboy college sweetheart. You will see some girl to girl scene here, plus a stick, lol

Tatang
- short film

Pen Medina plays the grandfather of Nikki (the girl at anghel na walang langit). Tatang is a pickpocketer/snatcher and Estel (not sure with the name) was his apprentice. But one time, they were caught and tatang was beaten. He blamed Estel. Then Estel decided to go on her own. So she was the one bringing money and supplies to Tatang. She keeps on telling tatang she's not stupid anymore. At the end, another snatcher snatched Estel's snatched bag, but was caught by the police and shot. Tatang thought it was his grandaughter but found her full of blood.

A touching story.


Hulakbo
- short film

about a child forbidden by her mom to enter one room at their house. then sho found out an old picture of her mom with another man and a fetus on a jar. Also it was a room full of saints an religious figures

What Floor Mam
- short film

About a former first lady and an action star trapped inside the elevator. The 1st lady was Imelda Marcos. It was about the wealth of the Marcoses.
I like this one, with one setting, the elevator, they were able to show the story.


Astig
- full length

about life in Manila, Quiapo, Recto and Escolta to be exact.
They have 4 stories I think, it's like the movie Jologs. Those 4 characters showed what they do or what will they do when they really need money. Yaoi, hahaha. But I enjoyed this actually, with the butt exposure of Arnold Reyes (in which we saw him live after). Gardo Versosa from being Machete to gay, hahaha, Keana Reeves' boobs, lol. I find Dennis Trillo cute in this film. Hahahaha

This is my favorite, I can't elaborate the story because it's too complicated. And of course, you need to watch this.hahaha


We hope that next year's Pinasaya and Cinemalaya, we could watch again. hahaha
