next stop china and philippines, and i read somewhere that there will be a viet and thai version too...

c'mon, if you had already watch the manga, it really different, i mean some scenes for the 3 versions were not even showed in the manga, and besides, since we already know the plot, there are no more excitements.. i mean, we all know that jandi and junpyo will end up together, and gaeul-yigoong will not be together (if korean version will stick to the story)

From the Mainland China reports, new version "Meteor Garden"; the whole filming scenes will be filmed in Xiamen, to make this classic product they'll be using the beautiful scenery of Xiamen. At the same time, new version "Meteor Garden" will change name to "Meteor Rain", it's expected to be about 35 episodes, starting in mid Feb they'll be filming in Xiamen for 3 months, and expects to air during the summer.

The drama's new F4 also appeared in Xiamen earlier, originally Wei Chen, Yu Hao Ming, Wu Zun, Han Geng was the F4 combination, besides the two quick guys Wei Chen and Yu Hao Ming, the other two has been changed to new actors Zhang Han, Zhu Zi Xiao as the main beam, and in the drama "Shan Cai" role, the filming group has intentions to invite Ariel Lin or Charlene Choi Ah Sa, from the eyes of the audience they're strongest popularity on the net, which could possibly be one of the them.

Another country, another “Hana Yori Dango” remake.

ABS-CBN, a major television network in the Philippines has bagged the rights for the fifth— and as of this writing– current “Hana Yori Dango” remake. If you check the network’s Wikipedia page, listed under the ‘Upcoming Shows: Foreign Adaptation’ is the said drama. But unlike the Korean version which takes after the Japanese dorama, the Philippine remake will follow the “Meteor Garden” format instead.

Aired in 2001, “Meteor Garden” was the first TV adaptation of the “HYD” manga. It became an instant hit all over Asia especially in the Philippines.

This is not the first time the Philippines is remaking a huge Asian drama. Just last year, Filipinos were treated to their own version of popular Korean dramas “My Girl” and “My Lovely Samsoon”. With the success of these remakes, Philippines is set to get more adaptations of Asian (mostly Korean) dramas including “All About Eve”, “Full House”, and if you look closely at that screen cap, you can see “Lovers in Paris” and “Princess Hours” too.

The casting for this new remake is yet to be finalized but the network already listed Sarah Geronimo, a famous actress and singer in her country, to play the role of San Cai/Makino/Jandi.

diba yung name na shancai, tsukushi and jandi means grass?
in phil version, someone posted na dapat ang name daw eh Mary Jane, Mary Jane for marijuana.. LOL

i want these to stop
not because im against the philippine version but because people might get tired watching all those versions...

baka pag nagkatrabaho na ako, malaman-laman ko may american version narin nito, mexican at indian version...
